April Powers Brings May Wowers

In case you’ve been a complete space-cadet in class or haven’t showed up in a while, we’ve amped up our workouts lately. The April Challenge contest has really fired everyone up too (I think M’elaine and Bety are in the lead, last I checked). I love coming to class and hearing all the sore muscle complaints. But I love that people are starting to take notice. I hear Clay tell the girls their punches are starting to really hurt him (nice!). I see that everyone’s stamina has increased big time. I see that as a group, we all have been able to blow past our limits on things like push-ups and planks.

I couldn’t be more proud! But unfortunately for you all (and for me too) that makes me want to push us even harder. Yes HARDER! You see that it can be done. You don’t have to do as much as the girl next to you, but you know that you can do more than you thought your body could. I hope you’re all giving yourself credit and a big pat on the back for the hard work.

Take the challenge to keep working hard, keep pushing yourself and keep saying “shut up, bitch!” to that voice in your head that tells you to back off because it’s going to hurt the next day. All this work in April is going to pay off come May when you’ll be showered with oo’s and ah’s and wowing everyone with your new and improved bod. Trust me, you’re well on your way!
